A Bitcoin block is considered mined, and the miner receives the block reward plus transaction fees, when he is the first to provide an SHA256 hash value for the current block in the mempool that is smaller than the Block Target. The number of leading zeros therefore determines itself.

Let’s look at an example. Your miner is currently reporting that it has reached a maximum difficulty of 53.94 M since the last reboot. This simply means that it has achieved a best hash value that is 53.94 M times smaller than the Genesis block difficulty. The Genesis block difficulty is listed above. If you divide it by 53.94 M and output the result as a 64-digit hexadecimal number with leading zeros (which corresponds to the 256-bit SHA256 value), you get the corresponding hash value. Conversely, you can also calculate the difficulty from a given hash value. However, for your miner to mine a block, its SHA256 hash value must currently be less than the Genesis block difficulty divided by 127,451 T or 127,451,000 M!
